An Accidental Federal Emergency Action Message from 1961

Remember this? On February 20th, 1961, the wrong teletype message was sent from the Federal Action Emergency Notification Agency. The message below went to every TV and radio station in the country, indicating the supposed start of nuclear war. A teletype operator had accidentally loaded the incorrect punched paper tape at EAN headquarters in Washington D.C. This example was received at WOKY-AM (920 Khz. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin), and was rescued from the trash.
