Evans Associates designed and supervised the installation of the Advanced Digital Television facilities for Malrite owned TV stations WFLX in West Palm Beach, Florida, WXIX in Newport, Kentucky, WNWO in Toledo, Ohio, WOIO in Shaker Heights, Ohio, WUAB in Lorain, Ohio, WLII in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and WSUR in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The Evans technology plan included tower loading studies, special antenna designs, and migration strategies including timelines and costs. After analyzing the marketing plans of competitors, Evans brokered a special arrangement with Harris Corporation to install WXIX as the first on-air High Definition Television (HDTV) station in the country.
